Blog: Launch of The Green Library Blog

The Green Library blog was created and launched October 22 2008.
The blog is devoted to documenting significant activities, events, literature, and projects that focus on " ... increasing the efficiency with which buildings use resources — energy, water, and materials — while reducing building impacts on human health and the environment during the building's lifecycle, through better siting, design, construction, operation, maintenance, and removal" [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Green_building].

While the major focus of The Green Library blog will be library facilities, substantive general work relating to Green Buildings and Sustainability will also be profiled.

This is great news. Here is a green Libguide that I created earlier this year and has received a lot of support from students and staff at Washburn University. Here is the address: http://washburn.libguides.com/green

I'll post a link to your blog on our site. : *)
